Under the supervision of an accounting team lead, the Accountant Specialist will support daily accounting operations for Green SM’s operations in the CIV market. This role is suitable for a hands-on accounting professional with solid technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-growing environment. The position will have interactions with service providers, local management, external auditors and HQ finance team.

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Handle daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable / accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger entries
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
• Prepare and store supporting documents in accordance with local accounting requirements
• Ensure accounting data is accurate, complete, and properly maintained
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

2. Financial Controls & Processes

• Follow and help improve accounting policies and procedures, with initiatives to be discussed
• Support internal control activities and risk management processes
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks as required

3. System & Process Support

• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, reporting tools, and digital finance workflows
• Maintain accurate data in financial systems
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or financial reporting
• Experience in SME, startups, energy, mobility, or similar industries is desirable
• Proficient in Excel and at least one accounting system
• Detail-oriented, careful, and well-organized
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable mindset
• Able to work independently, good command of English
