Missions

• EPM Mali
• Accounting: ● Perform & Lead The Month-End Closing Procedures to ensure all the bookings are correctly recorded. ● Generate financial reports for management and stakeholders in accordance with accounting principles and the company�s management accounting book (including reviewing monthly accrual calculations to ensure they adhere to accounting principles and are properly documented). ● Ensure appropriate accruals and provisions are made with complete supporting documents. Clear-up all the unutilized accruals from the prior year, and make appropriate provision to cover any future risks and/or aligned with the standard accounting principles and head-office guidelines. ● Analyze and Provide advice regarding financial impacts and corrective actions for any issues identified within the accounting process. ● Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, bankers, tax authorities, on business reporting (e.g. transfer pricing, tax liability, internal/external audit) to meet with the financial�s statutory and tax obligations. ● Ensure timely submission for the �drum-beat� reporting: weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and/or adhoc business reports, as required
• Costing: ● Oversee all cost accounting operations, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis. ● Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and processes. ● Analyze production costs, overheads, and inventory levels to identify cost-saving opportunities. ● Prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights on profitability by product, service, or project. ● Collaborate with operations, production, and supply chain teams to improve cost efficiency and accuracy
• Finance: ● Ensure the company's working capital (AR, AP, Inventory) is managed effectively. ● Conduct cash flow management planning and coordinate with shareholders and management regarding company cash flow, payment priorities, and fund availability. ● Monitor and review order releases and participate in debt collection activities in collaboration with the sales team. ● Verify and oversee all payment transactions in accordance with established procedures
• Planning & Forecasting: ● Leading Financial Planning (Budgeting and Forecasting) and Reporting Process in the country that includes Sales, Opex, Cash Flow, Inventory, and Risk Mitigation. ● Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs). ● Analyzing variances and trends and providing insights and recommendations to Factory Head and Head Office to improve financial results (Sales, COGS, Profit, OpEx)
• Controlling: ● Develop and implement internal control, policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and alignment to organization goals, and ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting and operations. ● Streamlining the business process, foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance department, promoting teamwork (develop talent), professional development, and excellence in performance. ● Handle ad-hoc business case tasks as required by management
• Tax: Ensure Tax filings comply with deadlines and applicable regulations, including annual and monthly tax reporting

Profil recherché

● Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field. ● Fluency in English & French is a must. ● With a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing company. ● Professional certification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Accountant (CA), is an advantage. ● Experience in SAP, is an advantage. ● Deep knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, business controlling, taxation, and regulatory requirements applicable to the organization's industry and geographic locations. ● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends and insights, and develop actionable recommendations. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts and insights to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
