Main duties and responsibilities

Under the authority of the Technical / Maintenance Manager, the job holder is responsible for the following duties

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

• Strictly comply with internal standards and policies regarding safety, the environment and occupational health
• Take an active part in prevention measures, emergency procedures and evacuation drills at the industrial site
• Systematically use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that everyone wears it throughout the site

Equipment maintenance and reliability

• Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and automated equipment
• Diagnose and promptly remedy failures in automated systems (PLC controllers, hardware and software aspects) as well as industrial installations
• Be on the front line in the event of an unplanned stoppage, in order to limit downtime and quickly restart production

Automation and technical expertise

• Develop, adapt and improve PLC programs as part of continuous process optimization efforts
• Contribute to the commissioning and start-up of new machines as well as automated packaging lines
• Finely adjust parameters, signals and communication networks connecting industrial equipment

Projects, installations and reporting

• Participate in the installation, assembly and technical acceptance of new electrical and automated systems
